A deep immersion in the intense experience of a medieval pilgrim, passing through San Gimignano.... in a time when the Templar Knights protected "the Way". We propose a 3 nights stay on BB in double room with bath or shower with the special overnight at the Fortezza de 'Cortesi, the original “Castrum Cortesianum" located in an absolute pristine environment where courtesy, history and silence are kings.

The 2 Francigena tracks arriving and departing from Fortezza de’ Cortesi reach two other beautiful medieval centres: Gambassi Terme and Colle Val d’Elsa. The walk nourishes the spiritual and physical energy, in the silence of sacred sites, along the ridges of the Val d’Elsa, dotted with castles, abbeys, churches and farms originated by the passage of the Via Francigena. Walking or cycling, you will enjoy the outstanding landscape and nature around you, a path of our knowledge of the territory in your hands to discover the rich natural, geological, archaeological, spiritual, historical heritage . The guides are written and guaranteed by the Local Tour Operator Tuscany ex, who also manage the Transfers to the starting points. Local historical and archaeological associations cooperate to guide insights.

Gambassi San Gimignano: Min14km – Max 19 km
2 optional excursions along the route: Etruscan tombs site and Benestare geological park
San Gimignano – Colle Val d’Elsa: min 16km – max 25km
